I've been gone for a while, but I am back.

Hello my old friends, I have been gone awhile, but I am back. Here is a quick slide show that shows a few things that I have been up to while I have been away. One of the things I have been focused on is my blog I am still focused on my cancer, for as long as I live. Yet there are so many beautiful things that I want to share. So, many things that define me other than my cancer. I intend to share those here on Leslie's Beautiful Life. I look forward to sharing with you weekly with posts on Fridays. It feels so great to be back. See you next week. Thanks for stopping by, Leslie

The long and winding road

Hello people,

Guess where I'n at? If you guessed, in the middle of Arkansas on our way to Knoxville, you are a winner!  This has been an arduous trip. We packed and loaded the moving van yesterday, and cleaned our apartment. That was so much work to do following chemo. I'm hoping that time will block the memory of this difficult trip. I can honestly say that this journey has been filled with stories for the future. The DISTANT future. I had a very animated exchange and with Woman in an parking lot here in Arkansas. I wasn't the nicest person in response to mental cruelty. It really scared her off when I said " lady, I had chemo yesterday, I have nothing to lose!" In this instance the Chemo card actually actually worked for me! In the future, I hope this can become a funny holiday story a out crazy 'ol mom! Ha ha.

Aside from all that, I am car hopping from the moving van to my daughters car.  I snapped a couple of cool photos of a bridge next to an actual pyramid as we left Arkansas ( good riddance and no offense meant to people who live in AR, I'm just happy to be closer to Knoxville) So, I'm inserting those photos and the welcome to Tennessee photo here:

Also, here is a picture of Sadie.

She is very sleepy. I bet when we arrive tonight,(we need to stay in Hotel. That will be fun for these pups. 🙉) p I'm sure they will run around and wrestle and burn off a lot of energy, while the humans pass out! Tomorrow is move in day. We will be getting a little town home. I'm hoping this is a very temporary home while we continue to house hunt for our final permanent home in TN. Pray for us please. I'll keep you posted with more can related posts once I get in with my new oncologist and resume treatments.

Thanks for stopping by,

Lealie

So much to do.

Hello people, You would not believe how busy this week has been! It all started with chemo treatment on Tuesday. That happened in the morning. In the afternoon I threw an overnight bag in the van and took off on a one day road trip with my beloved to Oklahoma City. The devastation in Moore Okla, was a sad sight. I feel so awful for the people there. They lost everything. I've never seen anything like that. Houses completely obliterated next to houses with no damage at all. Spooky looking at it from my safe passenger seat as we whizzed by, unaffected but not unchanged by it. I got to explore the local mall there on Wednesday, and found it to be really nice. That afternoon was our road trip home. It was great to get back home too. This week I have also begun to crochet a lap blanket with bunny yarn. It has big puff balls with a loose thread between each puff. It is purple, green, yellow and white. Very pastel and pretty. I'll have to photo it when it is complete. It's going to be so pretty. Also, I went geochaching with my daughter. For the first trip out, we found the location, but no cache. The location was a beautiful park by lake Lewisville that I never knew was there in the whole 17 years I lived here. It was a great find. So beautiful, and not finding the cache didn't matter because we were enjoying living in that moment so much. Today we went caching again and even found the digital clue of a QR code posted on a sign. Scanning that code gave us a website with a phone number, the number had a funny voice mail with another clue that took us to gps coordinates. That led us to a school and the trail grew cold. But it was the adventure of it that was so much fun! Plus the time spent with my family creating memories. I will always remember spending this day with my daughter and our dogs. ADVENYURE! I guess I will kick back and relax the rest of the weekend. I couldn't let a whole week go by without connecting with YOU though. Thanks for reading my blog. I will do my best to resume filming v-logs next week. Leslie So

Join me in a coffee adventure.

Hello People, I had such a fun weekend with my family. Fathers day was a great day for a barbeque. We took advantage of the great Texas weather and enjoyed cooking out together. It was a beautiful day. Saturday was a one on one day with my daughter. We spent some time discovering a newly open coffee shop in Flo Mo, and then hit the that and body works big sale. It was great to spend time together like that. I took a few pictures for you and thought you might enjoy checking out the coffee shop with us. The coffee was so so so good. I wish I could share a cup with you and have a chat. I know you would like it too. Until next time, thank you for stopping by, Leslie

Tasty and quick mediterenean wrap, plus products I have used to the last drop.

Hello people, Today is a two for one on videos. I've made a copy cat recipe of the wrap I have been paying 5 bucks for from Targets deli. It cost a whole lot less to make it and is so much more fresh. I have also shared a video of the products that I have used all the way up. Most I liked and will buy again. But there was one that wasn't a huge hit. Also, I am still polling to decide if my hair should stay or be shaved. Don't forget to post your opinion. This opinion poll ends Friday May 10th. Then I will either shave it or leave it. For the recipe video{ For the products video: Thanks for stopping by, Hit like, follow, or subscribe, Leslie

Hat organization

Hello people, Hats are the topic today. I have so many hats to cover up my super thin hair and the little bald spot on the crown of my head. My method of organizing them has been to keep them in one of the giant sized VS bags. The problem with this method is that I can't see them all. I have to dig through the bag to find the one I want. This was messy and time consuming. So, in an effort to make things quicker to find and prettier, I bought some s-hooks and started sorting. Check out the video and see how it turned out! I think overall it turned out pretty well. A quick, simply and effective solution to a an irritating problem. Thanks for stopping by, Leslie

Sigma brush cleaning glove

Hello people, I recently bought this product. I was totally prepared to hate on it and give it a bad review, based solely on the fact that it reminds me of the Betty Crocker animated oven mitt that they used in their commercials. Too funny. So, I went in to this review having already made up my mind. Check out the video to see if sigma was able to change my point of view. Thanks for stopping by, Leslie

What is beauty? What makes us beautiful or feel beautifl?

Hello people, I want to share a video with you that my husband share through facebook. It is a short video on perception. I believe you will be impacted by the message of this short film. All of you are very important to me as friends and family. I hope that be seeing how you see yourself and much softer others see you will make an impact on YOUR beautiful life. My beautiful life is being focused on doing some gentle yoga floor routines at least 15 minutes a day, continuing to add healthy foods to my diet and allow my self to rest more. Also murdering the voice in my head that tells me negative messages. Tells me I am less than, not good enough, pretty enough, strong enough and so much more. I won't really bbe murdering her. I will just be telling her that a more encourag9ing version of her will be taking her place. It will take a while and alot of focused intention to shut the negative voice down as I phase in motivation and positivity. I will be writing in my journal the problem and the underneigth I will be high lighting some steps to work on daily till this more positive voice takes root and become stronger than the negative voice. I will share my journal entry when it is complete, and keep you posted on how this process works. If I need to change by removing or adding things to the plan. Plus you guys matter so much to me. We all go through these sorts of battles. If you have advice for me share it in the comments below. I would love to hear from you. Take a moment to become a subscriber and you'll be up dated each time I post. Thanks for dropping by, Leslie the video can be viewed below

Hello people! Spring is in the air. The trees are flowering and budding here in Texas. It has been bi-polar with the weather. I hope you all faired well with the change and didn't have any stories of showing up at the wrong time for anything. All went well with us here. Today I decided to pull out a few of my favorite items that get much use lately and share them with you. Some are new to me and others are long time favorites that I purchase time and time again. Are you a spectator, or a participant? Biggest Loser/amazing race

Hello People! I am hoping this post doesn't find you snowed in where you are. It has been quite mild here in Tx. That is great for me!! I've been spending my time doing all sorts of stuff that keeps me busy and keeps me going. Right now I have been focused on finding work, which I have done. I start tomorrow as a matter of fact. This has been a goal I've been working on for 3 months. I thought it would be so simple to find a job. Not so at all. It is work to find work. My other goals are eating a continuously healthy, portion controlled amount of food. As well as being more active. I am still working on the active part, but it is getting better. My poor Sadie has been taken on so many little walks. But I feel good just having bursts of activity. As it is becoming more warm, I am moving outside more. But let me encourage you. What ever goal or dream you have, just start it today. Figure out the little steps it takes to achieve your big dream and take those baby steps. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and You can do it! You can make your life The Beautiful life you want. Thanks for stopping by, and now a video message from me, Leslie
