Thinking out of the box...There is no spoon.

My people this is a wacky yet wonderful idea to use as we start the baby new year.
I read an article that discussed our lives as boxes.  I also watched the movie "My Life as a House"  Now that is a good theory.  Thinking of ourselves as houses that have rooms that are constantly being built.  Whoa, I am getting way off track.  Deep breath.  Okay, back on track.  Here is where I am going with this.

Have any of you seen the matrix?  Do you remember the scene where Neo Goes to see the Oracle and there is this young boy bending spoons.  I would love to show you the movie clip if you haven't seen it but I cannot embed it because it is protected.  So, I will have to just share the scripted scene with you.

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

Okay, you have heard the saying "think outside of the box"?   Well, I am about to challenge you to think wide open.  In the movie The Box The main Character,  Arlington Steward says this about boxes.
"Your home is a box. Your car is a box on wheels. You drive to work in it and you drive home in it. You sit at home staring at a box. It erodes your soul while the box that is your body inevitably withers then dies whereupon it is placed in the ultimate box to slowly decompose."
That is soooo positive and uplifting isn't it?  Well, now I shall get to the point and tie these two thoughts together.  Just as there is no spoon, and we use our mind to bend it and by bending our minds we shape ourselves.  There is no box to think outside of.  Except for the boxes that we allow ourselves to be placed inside of or we place our selves in.  It can sometimes be so safe inside those boxes.  But once you realize the box you are in is not real at all it can not control you.  Poof the box disappears and you have no walls to hold you back.  I would even go so far as to say that the glass ceiling I hear so much about is a sort of a box.  It is something people tell you is there to prevent you from trying to move beyond it.  Anything that is going to stop you from moving forward or upward is only a positive thought away.

Boxes aren't all that bad though.  You can make a cool box car like this:
Your buddies would be so jealous of you kickin it your stylin box car.  Everyone would run out and make one.  Well my friends  That is all I have to say about boxes, and spoons.  Except to remind you that spoons make excellent eye lash curlers.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by their smile.

People say you can tell a lot about a person by their smile.  I know that a smile can make a great first impression.  I have had smile issues for a good chunk of my adult life.  As a young teen my dentist thought my teeth had too much of a gap on the bottom.  I had to wear rubber bands and spacers to push them closer together. This did such an awesome job that I grew up with teeth stacked on top of each other like a bull dog.  Lovely looking!
It bothered me, but I hid it well.  They were on the bottom, and thus easier to hide.  The over crowding of these teeth caused a bit of chipping.  Now you have the back ground.  Here is the meat of the story.

Last week I got my chipped teeth built up with a dental compound that matches my tooth color.  It is sort of like acrylic nails but harder.  The process was ummmmm, interesting.  But I really like the results.  Yes, my teeth are still crowded.  The work that was done makes them look like they aren't though.  The Dentist did a lot of sanding and grinding and buffing oh my!  Now my smile is something a bit more OMPH!  I quite enjoy it.  If there is a little something; something you are wishing you could correct in your grin, just do it.  Talk to your Dentist.   You might be surprised at what they are able to do.  Some of it is relatively affordable.  Being able to smile pretty for the camera, makes for a truly beautiful life.
I encourage you to take care of yourself well, and have a beautiful life for yourself today.

You look maaaahvahlous!

Hello People,

How is your beautiful life working out today? I am in the hospital with a yucky infection on my skin. Have you ever heard of cellutitus? NO, not cellulite. Silly people. It is just simply put a nasty infection. Well, It doesn't make my life feel beautiful much. What does though is the wonderful people caring for me and my terrific family. You guys are really the most beautiful part of my life. Sappy moment there. In the midst of not feeling beautiful, I wanted to poll you for the things you do when your at your worst to help you feel better. Be it herbal tea, to buying new lipstick. I want to know what makes you feel warm and fuzzy when you're down and out.

I can't do my usual pick me ups. Such as soak in a bubble bath or put a blanket in the drier and warm it for myself, but I did manage to find something to put a smile on my face. After all, Laughter is the best medicine. I get that from my family. Gosh do they make me laugh. This little video clip I came across made me smile a tad as well.

Here is a little photo of me in my fashion gown with naked face.  Naked face is all the rage now since Jessica Simpson did that photo shoot without makeup.

But I am getting better and hope I'll be home soon.  Then my cells will be beautiful, and I will feel beautiful too.  Something about being in your own space helps you have more muchness, which is all  you need to be your personal best.

Please email with what things you do to make yourselves feel better.  I can't wait to hear your ideas.  Or add a comment below this article.

Anticipation

Oh my gosh, I just had to share this with you. I knew YOU would understand. I'm waiting on some things from a previous order to sephora. I got the "the remainder of your order has shipped" email. Oh the joy! It is like Christmas. Just to know there will be a package at the door any day now, that I get to rip open. Even though I already know what is inside, it is still exciting to get a gift from myself. Especially since it was sent in a separate shipment.

Tell me, You know what it's like to be excited by a package received, right? I am all a'twitter just waiting for it to arrive. So that you know what we are expecting. It is the too faced liquify shadow collection, and the bliss foaming face wash. I will give those a try and let you know how they check out. It is the shadow I am excited about, Mainly. I just love those bright colors. Ready to break out of my comfort zone a bit this season and play with color. I'll be checking back with you soon.
